How To Start Your Web Design Business?
Ready to start freelancing as a web designer but unsure about a LOT of things? Things like how to build a website without knowing code, how much to charge for a website, how to get web design clients, and how to set up an efficient and effective website design process.
You want to quit your 9-5 because there are so many possibilities beyond your day job. You’re thinking to yourself that now is the time to start freelancing, but you’re unsure of how to get started. No worries, friend!
How to start a web design business from home
We cover SO much in this coaching & mentorship program, it’s unbelievable! Specifically, we cover 3 super important things that helped me build my business to where it is today.
One: Limiting Beliefs
First, we talk about how this one limiting belief is keeping you from becoming the booked out web designer everyone’s raving about and what to do about it.
Now you may have multiple limiting beliefs – I sure did when I first got started.
Things like, “I’m not good enough because I don’t have a 4-year design degree” or “why would someone ever pay me to build a website” and even “who am I to think I can run a business as an introvert” all held me back from reaching my true potential even sooner.
The one limiting belief we’re talking about in the How to Start a Web Design Business from Home workshop isn’t any of those. It’s completely different. I won’t only explain what that unconscious limiting belief is but I’ll also walk you through why you need to bust through it and how.
Two: 6 key steps to start your web design business
Once we’ve busted through that limiting belief that’s holding you back from becoming the booked-out designer you were born to be, I’ll walk you through the easy-to-follow 6 step process to start your web design business.
These six steps will allow you to hit the ground running with your design services and start working with your dream clients (no more 9-5 for you!)
Three: how building websites is more profitable than you imagine
You aren’t starting your own business to make minimum wage. You’re starting your business to meet or exceed your current income. You’re starting your business to bust through that glass ceiling and reach that 6 -figure income you’ve always dreamed of.
But is it possible by building websites? Heck yes, girlfriend it is!
The last thing I’ll teach you is why building websites can be more profitable than you imagine and how to plan your revenue goals for your first year in business (and hit them!).
You Could Go At It Alone…
In 2015, I had no idea what I was doing when it came to starting a web design business.
I’d literally look at the experts in my arena and wonder how they got to where they were. How were they building such valuable websites, living such wonderful lives, and able to be their own boss?
One day though, I decided to stop looking at all those leaders… and become one myself.
At the time, I was struggling because I didn’t have a ton of legit credentials and I knew running this as a business involved so much more than just designing websites.
I felt trapped. Like I wouldn’t be able to work for myself, from home or anywhere, set my own hours, and build websites for profit.
But then things changed. I found my stride and I developed my own, powerful techniques to get ahead.
And doing so has helped me in numerous ways, like being able to design websites for profit, take a random Thursday off because I damn well deserve it, and experience the freedom of that digital nomad life.
But because it was so transformational for me, I didn’t want to keep this knowledge to myself. I wanted others, like you, to have this same feeling. To know that you, too, are unstoppable.
Or You Can Do It With Me!
